IGNITE STUDENT MINISTRY

The Ignite Student Ministry of Parkway Baptist Church is centered on developing students into hearts on-fire disciples of Jesus! We take a very practical approach to Bible study and discipleship. Our goal is that students would not only know what they believe, but they can also discuss and defend why they believe it. We believe that we, as Christians of any age, are called to be ready in season and out of season to give a defense for the hope that resides within them. We study God's word, not just read it.

Ignite is designed from the ground up to be not only a place for students to feel welcomed, spiritually fed, and encouraged, but to also be a place where they enjoy being and belonging. We have regularly scheduled fellowship and outreach events, awesome quarterly events, and epic summer events. There is never a dull moment in Ignite! We also have a newly redesigned and renovated student space, The Fire House, sporting an ever growing list of hangout spaces and activities including a custom built ceiling-mounted 4 square in the air!

Whether you come for a day, an event or a season, we welcome you to check us out!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

IGNITION

Our midweek gathering, Ignition!, is our main student event. Here we have fun, fellowship and Bible study as we breakdown God's word into manageable and practical pieces and encourage each other to live out our faith, ask questions, and come ready to be changed! Our goal is that our students grow to love Jesus more, and that love drives their desire to grow. We want students to not only know what they believe, but also that they can advocate why they believe it, ready to stand against the world.

Ignition! is for all students 7th-12th grade. We meet every Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 PM in the Fire House on the 2nd floor. The doors open at 6:15 PM.

SUNDAY MORNING

Fire Squads

Our Fire Squads are our Sunday Small Groups. These were created to give students an opportunity to grow and learn in smaller group settings while led by a caring leader. While a part of a Fire Squad, students will discuss cultural topics and learn from God's word together, all while building fellowship and bonds. The students are guided and mentored by our adult Squad leaders who will encourage, teach, engage, and pray for the students weekly.

We start at 9:00 AM in a general assembly in the Fire House for announcements and prayer, then we disperse to the individual Squads.

SATURDAY NIGHT OUT

S.N.O.

Events

Now we're talking! Our S.N.O. events are monthly fellowship and outreach events that give students a chance to connect and have a blast with their friends. S.N.O. events are always the last Saturday of the month, unless there is another event that month, always 5pm-10pm, and always less than $20.

Details change for the different events, but one thing stays the same: they are EPIC! From escape rooms and axe throwing, to "Color Wars" and hundred foot long slip n' slides, we always have a great time.

Signups are online and can be found on the events page. We encourage all of our students to invite friends and spread the word! S.N.O. is the place to be!
