EASTER PHOTO SCAVENGER HUNT

Parents… this is not your typical Easter Egg Hunt. In fact, no eggs are involved. This is a scavenger hunt and helping your child understand the Easter story using Scripture. I seriously thought about filling a few eggs with candy and dropping off at houses but I was afraid some parents would not want that and with the stay-at-home order in place, I wasn’t sure it was a good idea. I’ve gone back and forth with the idea for more than 2 weeks. I miss your kids and wish we could be outside, scrambling for eggs, hearing the Easter story, playing on the playground, and eating chocolate eggs… laughing and talking with friends and family. But that’s not to be this year so we try alternatives. I hope that you will do the Easter Photo Scavenger Hunt… that you will share with your child the story of Jesus from the time He came to this earth to the time He died and rose again for all of us so that we can have the hope that we have.

Kidzone Activities-Week of 4.5.20

I’m so sorry for sending you the wrong lesson for Kid’s Church yesterday. Here is this week’s lesson and activities.

It’s hard to believe, but Easter is almost here. With that in mind, this Sunday we’re learning about the saddest day of the Holy Week—the day Jesus died on the cross. As sad as it is, though, it’s such an important part of the Gospel story. There is no, “He is risen,” without their first being “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?”

When you’re ready, watch the lesson video with your kids. It’s fun for the whole family and there is an opportunity to pause and discuss. (You can access the YouTube playlist here.) Afterwards, there are two great worship videos from Yancy to choose from: one is for older kids and one is for younger kids. If you want to sing more Yancy songs with your kids, you can stream them here or buy them in her store for 20% off through 4/30/20 when you use the code GO2020.

Lastly, I want to echo the words of Paul in Philippians 1:3, “Every time I think of you, I thank God for you.” I’m so proud to partner with you so the light of Jesus may shine in the lives of your children.

In Him,
