For several years now, Parkway has participated in Operation Christmas Child under the direction of MOPS. We will continue to do that but have a desire to produce even more boxes than last year…so we have a plan that includes everyone. Our goal is 325 or more boxes!! In August, we collected school supplies to go in the boxes. In September we are collecting hygiene needs. This includes toothbrushes, floss, bar soap, combs/brushes, washcloths, deodorant, and other non-liquid hygiene items, PLUS small sewing kits, shoes, socks, shirts, gloves, sunglasses and hair accessories. Starting next week we will be collecting toys, small games, hard candy and gum. We encourage families to still fill their own boxes, but we also feel like there are several who would prefer to help by bringing the various items. Watch the bulletin, website and Facebook for reminders!
Final collection of shoe boxes will be Wednesday, November 16.
