World Hunger Offering
The North American Mission Board’s Hunger Relief Ministry assists churches, associations and state conventions to share the Gospel with people in need through the process of distributing food. One hundred percent of every donation to the World Hunger Fund flows directly to the mission field, where the love of Christ is shared as an intentional part of every ministry. When an individual sacrificially gives to the fund, God blesses that gift. The offering for the World Hunger Fund will be taken Sunday, February 5, 2012.
January Bible Study
Martin Luther, the great Reformer, suggested the book of Ecclesiastes should be read daily “because it so firmly rejects sentimental religiosity.” The book challenges secularism in knowledge, wealth, pleasure, work, fame and sex. Ecclesiastes turns the reader toward God, the only hope of a meaningful life.
Dr. Bob Curtis, pastor of New Prospect Baptist Church, Olive Branch, MS, and former pastor of Ballwin Baptist Church, will be our guide to Ecclesiastes on Saturday, January 28, 9:30 A.M – Noon; and Sunday, January 29 in our morning and evening worship services and at 5:15 P.M.
Adult Learner Guides ($7.00) for the study are available through the church office.
