Gospel Presentation

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,

 that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Did you know God’s plan was to create us to be a part of His family? That’s a cool plan! There is only one way for us to be a part of His family, though. We must believe in His Son, Jesus. What did Jesus do for us  so we could become part of God’s family?

The blue star represents BEST EFFORT. Even with our best efforts, we all say and do wrong things. The Bible calls this sin. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” What is sin? Everything we say and do that is wrong. Who has sinned? All or everyone has sinned.

The gold star represents BEST SPORTSMANSHIP. God wants you on His team! Because our sin separates us from God, He gave us His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross and pay the price for our sins. Jesus took our place on the Cross so that we can be on God’s team forever. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Who took our place? Jesus. How did he take our place? Jesus died on the cross.

The gray star represents BEST OFFENSE. Jesus is the way to win! To be a winner, we must ask God to forgive our sins and must believe that Jesus is alive. Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” What must we ask God to do? Forgive us of our sins or all the things we have done wrong.

The red star represents BEST DEFENSE. We should turn and run to God! Because Jesus loved us enough to die for our sins, we need to repent, or turn away from our sin, and run to God. Acts 3:19 says, “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” How do we repent from our sins? We turn away and live for God.

The white star represents CHRISTLIKENESS. We should run with God! To run with God means you start living for His Son, Jesus, every day by obeying what God says in the Bible. We need to let others see the difference Jesus has made in us. Matthew 10:32 says, “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my father in heaven.” How can we start living for Jesus? Obeying what the Bible says.

If you would like to receive God’s gift of eternal life through Jesus, there is a simple prayer to help you begin a relationship with Him. You may pray this prayer silently in your heart. “Dear Jesus, I know I am a sinner and I need a Savior. I believe you took my place and died on the Cross for my sins. I ask that you please forgive me, and I repent from my sins. Come into my life and help me to start living for you. I love you, Jesus. Thank you for loving me first. Amen.”

The green star represents Scripture learning because we need to grow with God. We can grow with God by learning Bible verses, going to church, praying, and reading the Bible. As we grow in our relationship with God, we will begin to live more like His Son, Jesus. Psalm 119:11 says, “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
