Men’s Ministry
Men's Ministry

Parkway men are committed to doing life together. Through small groups, retreats, service and fellowship activities, men walk together as they encourage one another in their relationships with Christ!

Iron Sharpens Iron Men's Ministry meets for Bible study on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. in Room W202, and on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in Room E101. We spend our time studying God's Word in a large group setting then meet in small groups to go deeper in the Word and life together. The goal of our time of Bible study is to increase in the knowledge of the Word and to hold one another accountable as we live our lives together as men of God.

Currently, we are studying how to handle life's pressures. Join us we discuss how various men of the Bible dealt with intense pressure in their lives. We’ll explore how men like Moses, Aaron, Gideon, Jonathan, Peter, Jesus, and many others took Godly action under trying circumstances. The Bible will be the only book used in this study.

The Apostles’ Creed, Wednesday evenings, beginning January 10, 6:30 p.m.

Dive deeply into what Christians believe, why we believe it, and how to apply our beliefs in a life of informed, active, and practicing discipleship. Take an in-depth examination of the primary tenets of Christianity. The Apostles’ Creed was born from the apostles’ teachings. It contains essential doctrines and beliefs that summarize the gospel and the foundation of our faith. The scriptural truths contained in the creed enable us to build our Christian lives on good theology, with the knowledge that our faith is rooted in truth and a rich history. The lines of the creed aren’t mere words. They are the essence of what we confess and believe. Repeating the creed doesn’t make disciples. Incantations don’t transform us into better, more effective Christians. Creeds don’t hold any authority apart from Scripture, but they do point outside themselves to the authoritative Word of God.
