Ancient prophesies…Timeless struggles…Two Crowns
A conflict is about to be settled; it is the inexorable battle between the Kingdom of God and the realm of evil. The battle will be waged at a specific time and in a specific place. It is not a clash of provinces; it is a war of principalities. It is the final conflict and it will be fought to the death. A single act of treachery sets the plan into motion. Just thirty pieces of silver for evil to betray unsearchable riches. The weapons of this war are unexpected: broken bread, a crown of thorns, a cross.
It will not be won by a conquering hero. The triumph will come through a kneeling Savior. His victory will look like defeat. But make no mistake, the restoration of humankind is in the balance and no one knows the lengths to which He will go to win us back. Yes, this King will wear a crown, but not the one we expect. He will lay aside His crown of glory for a crown of thorns. The Lord Jesus will give everything and nothing will be spared—except us.
